Redundant Power
The SpireTech data center features UPS systems powered by natural gas generators to provide continuous conditioned uninterrupted power. Our core systems, routers and switches are supplied by redundant UPS power systems and generators to provide additional protection and ensure uptime in the event of a commercial power failure. Customers can choose to purchase UPS power or standard commercial power to meet the needs of their applications.
Redundant HVAC
SpireTech maintains multiple redundant HVAC units to cool our data center facility. Our main units are powered by a natural gas generator system to ensure cooling systems will continue to function in the event of a commercial power outage.
Redundant Fiber Entrances
The SpireTech data center is equipped with redundant multi-homed Internet feeds. Each Internet bandwidth feed is supplied via independent fiber optic connections entering the data center over separate fiber connections. Fiber optic infrastructure outages are very rare and this feature offers redundancy and lowers the possibility of an accidental fiber cut to both bandwidth entry points happening at the same time.
Redundant Tier One Backbones
SpireTech maintains high-speed BGP connections to two first tier bandwidth provider network backbones.
Secure Data Center
The SpireTech data center facility is equipped with key card access control security system. The system includes a 24x7 monitored security system as well as electronic DVR video monitoring systems.
24x7 Secure Access
Customers who subscribe to our 24x7 colocation services are supplied with a private key card to allow access to their equipment in the data center.
